WINTER MAINTENANCE

With freezing temperatures lingering, please take the following precautions to protect your home from cold-related damage:

  • Prevent Frozen Pipes: Keep cabinet doors open under sinks, let faucets drip, and maintain indoor temperatures above 65°F.

  • Protect Outdoor Faucets: Disconnect hoses and cover outdoor spigots. We have insulated outdoor pipes at each location. If you notice damage to pipe insulation, let us know.

  • Check Heating Systems: Ensure your furnace runs efficiently and frequently replace air filters.

  • Seal Drafts: Close gaps around doors and windows to keep heat in.

  • Use Space Heaters Safely: Keep them away from flammable items and never leave them unattended.

  • Monitor for Ice Buildup: Prevent ice dams on your roof, patio, and driveway by making sure that snow is cleared promptly. HOA regulations require the homeowner to clear all sidewalks in front of your property.

  • Stay Safe: If you plan to be away, have someone check on your home to prevent issues.

Taking these simple steps can prevent costly repairs and ensure a warm, safe home. If you experience any maintenance emergencies, please contact us immediately.
